LG Solar Powered Mobile Phone

While it certainly isn’t the first of its kind, LG’s solar-powered mobile phone is a welcome addition to the world of green gadgets.  This week, LG Electronics revealed a solar-powered mobile phone with photovoltaic paneling on one side, the business end on the other.  The announcement comes with no specs, no images of the manual side and no details on network availability or release date.  The press release covers the basics of the solar power technology that may come to future LG phones, but until we see it tied to an actual model number– we’ll remain guardedly optimistic.  [lg]
